Short biography of the musicians Antonio Amanti and Patrizia Marcatello

ANTONIO AMANTI studied Clarinet under the guidance of Maestro Francesco Capogrossi and continued his studies at the Conservatory of Music of SANTA CECILIA in Rome where he graduated in 1990 under the guidance of Maestro Nicola Conte. In 1992 he wins the competition of the 1st Clarinet at the Orchestra Nazionale della Polizia di Stato Italiana, where he currently continues to play. He obtained a high-level diploma in interpretation technique at the "Gaetano Braga" Conservatory of Music in Teramo under the guidance of Maestro Federico Paci. Numerous collaborations with singers and musicians of international fame such as Katia Ricciarelli, Leon Baez, Vincenzo La Scola, Michele Zarrillo, Gianni Morandi, Massimo Ranieri, Renato Zero, Claudio Baglioni as well as many collaborations with Ennio Morricone in the execution of his wonderful soundtracks. He has participated in numerous tours with different groups and orchestras in Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, Lithuania, Turkey, Greece, Malta. He has held concerts as first solo clarinet at the "New Amadeus Chambers Orchestra" in Thailand for the representation of "La Boheme" and "Don Pasquale". He has also collaborated in the performance of operas such as "Tosca¨,  ¨Pagliacci¨ and ¨Aida¨ .

PATRIZIA MARCATELLO obtained in 1994 a Laurea degree in Piano with the highest honours at the Conservatorio di musica “F. Morlacchi” in Perugia. On the same year she won a grant to study teaching skills for the piano at the Accademia Internazionale “INCONTRI COL MAESTRO” at Imola (Bologna) under the supervision of Maestri such as Franco Scala, Piero Rattalino, Antonio Ballista and Riccardo Risaliti. In 2001 she obtained the Laurea degree in DIDATTICA DELLA MUSICA at the Conservatorio “F. Morlacchi” in Perugia. During the year 2002 she took lectures on Music Therapy at the Centro Permanente della città di Assisi (Perugia). Feeling passionate about enlarging her knowledge and pedagogical skills in teaching music she applied and got a scholarship at the Università di Firenze, Facoltà di  Scienze della Formazione where in 2005 she obtained the title of teacher of "special" didactics for students with learning difficulties. Winner of national piano competitions, she carried out a profitable solo concert activity and in chamber ensembles. Since 2005 she is teacher of Musica e Sostegno ("special" didactics) at the Scuola Secondaria di I grado in Rome. Besides teaching, she performs concert activities, especially in chamber ensembles.
